I offer a personalized infant nanny share-style (1:2 ratio) setup from my home in South Asheville, where I have a Montessori-inspired baby play space, including the full collection of Lovevery toys. I am passionate about safe sleep training, baby-led weaning, and all things infant development.
My Background
Hi! I’m Kristen, a 35 year old infant childcare provider who runs a full-time nanny share-style space here in Asheville, NC. I live on the south side of town with my loving Australian Shepherd, Rory, who has been around babies his whole life.

“Not only is her condo set up like a high end daycare with developmentally appropriate toys and a cozy, safe environment, but her personal investment in our son’s safety, happiness, sleep and development always went above and beyond. She is warm, intelligent, trustworthy, calm and nurturing. She would send numerous updates, photos and videos of our son throughout the day, log his eating and sleeping and even troubleshoot his changing nap and developmental needs. I would trust her to keep our son anytime and overnight—like we would a member of our family. It’s so apparent that childcare is her natural gift. Hire her and you will rest easy as a parent!!”
“Throughout Josefine’s time with Kristen, she grew and thrived. Kristen is extremely knowledgeable about early infant and toddler development and eagerly provided updates as Josefine learned new skills or made progress. At Kristen’s, she learned baby sign language, improved her vocabulary, tried many new foods via BLW method, made baby friends and became comfortable away from home.”
“She was an extension of our family, someone I trust wholeheartedly with my child, and excellent at what she does.”
About the nanny share
-
I provide all of the services of a traditional nanny – activity planning, setting routines, bottle and meal prep, laundry, bathing/nails, from my own baby-safe, stimulating environment.
-
I follow evidence-based safe sleep practices and have many years of experience using gentle methods to support babies towards independent sleep habits.
-
I have the full collection of Lovevery Montessori toys, with their stage-based developmental guides. I have multiple play areas where I prioritize floor time and free movement for the babies. We also practice baby sign language beginning in the early infant months and reinforce it very consistently at 6-12 months.
-
I have taken courses from SolidStarts, a popular pediatric feeding expert and pediatrician-backed program, and am very comfortable with baby-led weaning feeding methods. I offer meals starting at 6 months old, that are based on the SolidStarts approach, with a focus on unprocessed whole foods.
-
My typical weekday hours are 8-6, and I have plenty of flexibility for evening, weekend, and overnight care as needed!
-
I reinforce a zero-symptom sick policy and work with vaccinated families who are mindful about doing what we can to keep us healthy! I use Force of Nature, a natural yet hospital-grade EPA registered disinfectant.
-
I watch two-full time babies, who are matched together at a similar age, so they start out as tummy time buddies and spend their first year sharing all of their milestones together. They have a lot of fun having a playmate at their level and end up becoming very close! On the weekends, there are opportunities to be with infants or toddlers of varying ages in a 1:2 ratio setup.
-
We live in a safe community with plenty of walking paths, walkable to Whole Foods, with lots of beautiful outdoor common areas, like the courtyard, pool, water fountains, and playground.
-
I use the app BabyConnect to keep in touch with families throughout the day. It is where I log feeding and sleeping updates, photos, videos, and more. Families are also welcome to text anytime or FaceTime to check in. I wear an Apple Watch and use a variety of Alexa devices so even with my hands full, I am always very accessible.
-
To make the workday and pickups/dropoffs as seamless as possible, I provide all of the essentials here! The only items you would need to bring are milk/formula, any medications, and change of clothes.
-
Travel nanny services are available upon request for meeting families at outings within Asheville. Feel free to send me a message with your event info and needs!
